I originally posted this blog in August of 2018, but as of now (October 2018), I had to re-address it, so that the blog below has some added information to better convey the thoughts I want to express, as I make a plea to churches to understand just what is at stake...

We are children of God, called to serve the body of Christ by equipping Christians to articulate their faith and engage culture with godly wisdom.
Christian youth are often confronted in schools by their teachers or classmates with anti-Christian arguments that shake their faith.
Many Christian adults are intimidated in the workplace by colleagues who claim superiority of knowledge.
Atheists claim that scientists have disproved the existence of God and that the Bible and Christianity are man-made myths, and thus irrelevant for our modern age.
Ethical and moral dilemmas are being faced at an all-time high, and the question of moral authority seems up for grabs.
The media propagates Christians as bigots for insisting on the exclusivity of salvation through Christ alone. Secular professors insist that the universe was not created by God and that human beings are a product of evolution emerging by descent from a single common ancestor.
Many people today deny the reality of miracles and the supernatural.
Unfortunately, many churches do not have ministries designed to equip Christians with information to help answer these challenges, build their own faith, or defend their faith in the present culture.
As a result, Christian youth will often leave the Church in their early adult years because they were not prepared to handle their own doubts or a barrage of information often presented to them in the university system that tends to go against their faith.
In general, many Christians feel ill-prepared or ill-equipped to defend their faith in a public setting or in personal evangelistic encounters, yet, the Bible tells us that we should always be prepared to give an answer for the reason of the hope that lies in us (1 Peter 3:15).

Christian apologetics is the branch of Theology and Evangelism that deals with providing scientific, philosophical, logical, historical and biblical answers/evidence for the relevance of the Bible and the rationality of Christianity in our culture. Apologetics was not as relevant as it is today, just as many of us grew up when there was no internet or smartphone. The world has changed, culture has shifted, and apologetics evangelism/discipleship has become indispensable to Christianity. Christian apologists help Christians defend their beliefs by providing reasons and evidence to answer contemporary objections against Christianity.
Wisdom is not just knowledge but a product of knowledge and understanding infused with supernatural clarity and excellent spirit (Daniel 5:12). Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ clearly admonished us with these words: “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16). The whole Church needs wisdom and more so the youth who are inadvertently at the cultural frontlines of the raging spiritual warfare where the Christian faith is maligned continually. This is the time to “Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. (Therefore), Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one” (Colossians 4:5-6).
Church leaders need to do more to equip Christians and the youth with intellectual and spiritual tools to stand their ground, defend their faith and persuasively communicate the gospel in an increasingly anti-Christian culture. The Church needs to provide an active and dynamic platform for encouragement and positive reinforcement of the Christian faith. This role is what an apologetics para-church ministry like Wisdom Club plays by coming alongside pastors, churches and parents to provide the necessary resources and training for Christian youth empowerment.
